Mortar & Pestle

This is a beautiful Mortar and Pestle that will enhance your kitchen counter while being ever so useful for grinding salt, seeds, or grains or for crushing herbs and spices.

My Mortar & Pestle is sized and shaped to hold comfortably in your hand or sit on the counter to use. The Mortar is spherical inside so that it can be used at any angle and the Pestle is carefully shaped to have a slightly smaller radius for efficient operation. I designed this Mortar and Pestle for a customer in Virginia who is a serious amature cook. She described to me how she wanted the Mortar and Pestle to fit in her hand and how she would hold it as she used it. From that I designed the shape to fit the hand and the foot of the bowl to aid in gripping. She was delighted with it and I am sure you will be also.
